But at my back I always hear Time’s wingèd chariot hurrying near; And yonder all before us lie Deserts of vast eternity. Thy beauty shall no more be found; Nor, in thy marble vault, shall sound My echoing song; then worms shall try That long-preserved virginity, And your quaint honour turn to dust, And into ashes all my lust; The grave’s a fine and private place, But none, I think, do there embrace. About This Quote

When you are young, the world is your oyster. You may be in your twenties or thirties, but you are still young enough to do anything. Things are easy at times, and you have the power to make decisions that will change the course of your life. As you get older, that changes.

You begin to realize that your time is limited. You want to spend it wisely and think about how things will look in twenty years when you can no longer enjoy them. You know that there is a lot on the line and that there is no guarantee of success.

This quote makes me think of how important it is to enjoy what we have now while we still have it. There is no guarantee that we will continue our lives in luxury and comfort.
